Do you know more about the pomade oil?

Pomade oil, extracted from sesame, has a special fragrance, so it is called fragrant oil. According to the extraction method, it is generally divided into a pressing method, filter pressing method, and water substitution method. Millet oil is made by the traditional process water substitution method.

Fragrant oil Feature
Fragrant oil, also known as sesame oil, is amber in color, orange-yellow and reddish, transparent, rich and mellow, lasting. It can be used to prepare cool and hot dishes, remove the fishy smell and produce fragrance; add to soup, freshen and taste; used in cooking, frying, pure and colorful, is a treasure in edible oil.

Sesame oil contains essential unsaturated fatty acids and amino acids, ranking first among all kinds of vegetable oils. It is also rich in vitamins and essential trace elements such as iron, zinc, and copper. Its cholesterol content is far lower than animal fat, and it is loved by people.

The way to distinguish

Color discrimination method: pure perfume oil is red or orange-red, machine pressed perfume oil is lighter than millet oil, the color of rapeseed oil mixed with perfume oil is dark yellow, and the color of cottonseed oil mixed with cottonseed oil is dark red.

Water test: dip a drop of fragrant oil with chopsticks on the calm cool water surface, and the pure fragrant oil will show a colorless transparent thin big oil flower. The oil flower of adulterated fragrant oil is small and thick, and it is not easy to diffuse. [2] It has been proved that water temperature plays a decisive role in distinguishing pure fragrant oil from blended fragrant oil, and neither cold water nor warm water can be distinguished; both warm water and warm water are scattered, but the shape and size of oil flowers are different.

Smell method: The fragrance of millet oil is mellow, rich and unique. If peanut oil, soybean oil, refined oil, and rapeseed oil are mixed, the fragrance is not only bad but also peanut, bean, and other odors. Part of the sesame oil is made from the blending of food flavors, and the sense of smell is relatively poor.

Consumers can also identify sesame oil from the following aspects:

At first glance, color and luster: pure fragrant oil is light red or red with yellow if mixed with other oils, color is different. Rapeseed oil is dark yellow and cottonseed oil is black red. For products mixed with other vegetable oils, a water test can also be used: a drop of fragrant oil dripped with chopsticks on the calm water surface, pure fragrant oil will show a colorless transparent thin big oil flowers, adulterated oil will appear thicker and smaller oil flowers.

Second look at transparency: generally good quality perfume transparency, no turbidity.

Third, see whether there is precipitate: good quality no precipitate and suspension, low viscosity.

Fourth, whether there is stratification phenomenon: fragrant oil is very sensitive to temperature, so it is possible to stratify when the temperature is low. If there is stratification at room temperature and no significant increase in viscosity at 0 C, (the national standard does not freeze to qualify when stored at 5.5 C in freezing test), non-condensation is likely to be adulterated mixed oil. If there is no stratification at any temperature, it means that antifreeze additives are added to the fragrant oil.

Five Checks: We should carefully check its trademark, pay attention to the shelf life and the time of leaving the factory. If there is no factory name, site, and quality standard code, we should be particularly vigilant. Particular attention should be paid to the raw materials or ingredients (especially in lowercase).

Six looks at the price: reference sesame price, general 2.5~3 Jin sesame seed out of a jin of sesame oil, the price is too low is obviously the essence of blending fake sesame oil!
